Amazon and Caylent Join Silicon Valley High School in Developing AI to Address Student Cheating Online

Silicon Valley High School (SVHS), an AI software-driven accredited school powering a digital revolution in secondary education, is pleased to announce a collaboration with Amazon and Caylent to further enhance SVHS’s online learning platform with cutting-edge AI capabilities.

Under this collaboration, Amazon is providing funding and their industry-leading cloud computing expertise to assist with developing new machine learning models for SVHS. These models will help address a critical challenge facing online education – cheating through the use of AI and other tools.

Caylent, a leading AWS cloud services company, will lend their technical expertise in implementing the new AI capabilities on the flexible and scalable AWS cloud.

“We are excited to support SVHS with their innovative approach to AI-powered proctoring for online exams,” said Logan Coffman, Account Manager at Amazon Web Services. “This technology has strong potential to maintain academic integrity at scale.”

David Smith, CEO of SVHS commented, “We are thrilled to be working with technology leaders like Amazon and Caylent. Their knowledge and hosting capabilities will be invaluable as we build our AI-supported curriculum and scale.”

Jeff Schultz, Account Executive at Caylent added, “AWS provides an ideal platform to develop and deploy machine learning models like those needed by SVHS. We look forward to lending our expertise to help drive the future of online education.”

The collaboration will leverage AWS’s industry-leading Sagemaker platform to develop the new AI models, with Caylent providing implementation support. SVHS aims to provide comprehensive AI-supported learning at scale to high schools across the country.
