INTEGRATED MATH 2, PART 1

Integrated Math 2, Part 1 is the first semester of Integrated Math 2 and extends students’ algebraic skills through exponents, radicals, rational expressions, exponential functions, polynomials, quadratic functions, and advanced systems. Students simplify and operate with algebraic expressions, analyze exponential growth and decay, factor polynomials, graph and solve quadratic equations, and compare linear, quadratic, and exponential models. The course concludes with systems in three variables and an introduction to matrices, determinants, inverses, and matrix methods for solving systems. Integrated Math 2 is approved by the University of California A-G as mathematics (category C).
Upon completion of this course, the student is awarded 5 credits. Each credit corresponds to 15 hours of study. Of course, some students work more quickly than others, and some can devote more hours to study, so some students are able to complete the course at an accelerated rate.
